Hi,
I’m 16 years old and I really want to work within Fashion etc!
I would love to just be the person who gets coffee, and I want to start as soon as possible.
Do you have any advice? Example, what kind of jobs I can get. etc

Hi Jennifer!
Thank you for your question! My interest in fashion started at a very young age and I used my website to develop my interest and learn more about fashion. Fashtastic is what has got me the job I have today. I work for a Swedish teen magazine and will soon be working for In Style as well. My best advice for you is to contact magazines, shops and other fashion related companies and organizations that you would like to work for. Explain that you would like to visit them and see how they work, like a type of internship. Most people will be more willing to let you come and work for them if they know the work is short term and unpaid. You will learn a lot just by visiting a major magazine and with the right networking techniques (always socialize and show interest!) you’ll eventually get to where you want to be. Keep your head high and your eyes on the goal but be patient! It will take time and determination to get to where you want to be. I started Fashtastic when I was about 15 years old, I’m 21 today and have been working for magazines for about 2,5 years. A combination of Fashtastic.net and my ability to network is what has got me to where I am today!
Another tip is to look into internships at major magazines like In Style or Teen Vogue, they often need assistants to help out at shoots or at the office.

Rachel Bilson has been seen toting around a new Chanel bag. Discussions have been running wild on fashion boards across the internet – Is it one or two bags? Why is she carrying her bag inside another bag? Are they attached? What is that?
Turns out, it is indeed one and the same bag. Or, well… technically two bags, one attached inside the other. Why Chanel thought this would be neccessary, is yet to be explained. But then again, fashion does not always have a reasonable explination.

Okay, so Tom Cruise may have lost it. Or not, I guess it depends on how you look at things. Either he’s madly in love or just insanely addicted to Katie Holmes. Miss Holmes however, is confidently strutting the streets in a sharp and sophisticated look and has the paparazzi and fashion lovers alike buzzing about her new style. Could it be her tight friendship to soccer wife and super fashionista, Victoria Beckham that has her dressing up?
Whatever the reason, we like it, and we’re eager to see more.

I know I’ve hyped the Twilight-series before but now that I’ve plowed my way through three out of four books (okay that’s a lie, I’ve got about 30 pages left in the third book, Eclipse) I am starting to wonder if the books really deserve all the attention and credit they’re getting.
Am I the only one that feels like I’m reading a re-run of the same episode over and over again? The plot doesn’t really thicken much and when it does it dissolves into nothing just as quickly. The first two books I rushed through with excitement but I’ve found myself almost forcing myself to finish Eclipse and I can’t say I’ve felt very excited or surprised by the plot.
I already ordered the fourth and final book, Breaking Dawn, but I think I’ll rest my eyes on something more exciting before completing the Twilight-series.
What do you think of the books?
I am frantically looking for a cute pair of flat shoes for work. I recently landed a new job (more about that in the near future) and will definitely be needing a pair of flats for running around town to shop around for clothes for shoots. These cuties from Gram are looking like a good candidate. I’ll have to stop by Gandpa tomorrow and check them out in real life.

Yummy. There’s no guy like Johnny Depp. I can’t believe he turned 45 years old this year! He is going to remain hotter than a stovetop no matter what age.
My friends and I are all in agreement that we’d probably never even consider dating someone more than twice our age, unless it was Johnny Depp.
No one in their right mind would ever question dating Johnny Depp. Am I right, or am I right?

Vegomässan was held in Stockholm today, it’s a small vegetarian convention. Being a vegeterian and not having much else to do this weekend I decided to go and check it out.
The place was packed! There are a lot of vegetarians in Sweden and apparently they had all heard about the convention. It’s a shame it wasn’t held in a larger venue. There were stands where people were selling t-shirts, vegan shoes and of course, cookbooks on how to whip up a fantastic vegetarian meal. And then there were even more tables cluttered with lovely bakegoods! Because of the massive amount of people I had a really hard time snapping any photographs (the above is all I got, and that’s just one of the tables!)
I got a cute pink cupcake with a blackberry on top that tasted absolutely divine! I must say though, I had a very hard time choosing from the platter of goodies!

According to the NYDN, Lauren Conrad has signed a three-book deal with Harper Collins. The books are rumored to be loosely based on Conrad’s life and her transition from a regular teenage girl to being chased by paparazzi’s and fans to the grocery store.
No word yet on what the title of the books will be but cheers to Lauren for adding yet another skill to her lits of merits.

After running to some meetings today and meeting a friend I stopped on my way home to pick up the latest issue of In Style. Unfortunately the US version hasn’t hit newsstands here yet but the October issue of In Style UK has! I also found this special issue called In Style Makeover that I decided to check out!
