I have been packing the past couple of days because, guess what? I landed a job as fashion editor and stylist at In Style magazine. I’m moving to Prague tomorrow! Crazy? Tell me about it! I’ve packed almost two suitcases so far but I feel like I am forgetting something. I don’t know about you but I would assume I’d have stuffed about 10 suitcases by now?! I’m starting to get a little nervous there is something I am forgetting… it’ll all work out once I get there. These days you can solve almost anything with the use of internet anyway, and a mom that’ll come down and visit and bring whatever you forgot.
I’m super excited!
When I was in the US this summer I popped into a shop selling all kinds of collectible things. Among all the posters, CDs and other things they had a couple of these cute little figures. They’re from Kidrobot and are sold in several places across the US. Visiting one of their shops is said to be an experience all on its own because of the cool interior decorating. I love their little toys and could definitely use one as a mascot to watch my back!
I can’t decide if it’s super tacky or just plain fun. I can however confirm that this Bespoke Silk Scarf Chair is painfully pricey. Anyone feel like dropping $6,400 on this? I bet Rachel Zoe would.
The shows and events continue, one fashion week after another! I liked Ann Demeulemeesters S/S 09 show and especially the cute short dresses. Being short myslef I love the length of my dresses to end above the knee.
Demeulemeester also chose to oncorporate one of this seasons trends in her collection for the warmer season – long oversized chain necklaces. Check second hand stores for similar pieces or make one for a more personal touch.
