The last days in Prague

Anna and I went for many nice walks during my last weekend in Prague, the weather was fantastic!

On Friday evening last weekend Anna and I made sushi and then cocktails before heading out to party the night away! Here’s pretty Anna sipping her cocktail!

We went to the recently opened Buddha Bar in Prague and had a great drink!

We met up with my favorite Greek, Panos, and had more drinks and went to more clubs.

I made sure to take a ton of pictures of pretty buildings and other things in Prague.

This church is huge, it’s right nearby where I lived in Prague.

Pretty Old Town square in Prague.

The flight home was nice, the sun was beaming bright way up above the clouds.

I came home to find the schedule for Stockholm Fashion Week in my mail, yey!

Stockholm Fashion Week A/W 2009

Stockholm Fashion Week is this week but I’ll unfortunately only have time to go to one of the shows. On thursday is Dagmar and then there’s the launch of Stockholm Fashion Week magazine in the evening.

Last fashion week, S/S 2009, I attended several of the shows and also went to some great parties hosted during fashion week. My partner in crime, Bella and I had a great time! I was looking through some old photos from last August and am sad that my fabulous Bella won’t be able to attend the shows with me this year since she’s abroad studying. I really wish Bella was here, and that I still had that killer tan!

au Gourmand and France

After taking a walk into town on this sunny and crisp day I met my roomate Anna for a cup of tea at au Gourmand. It’s a cute café full of french treats like chocolate cakes, croissants and croque monsieur. Despite the music being slightly off for a french bakery and café (american rap music?) Anna and I got talking about France and I told her about when I lived with a french family for two weeks as part of my education at the French School in Stockholm. I miss the family I lived with and the cute little brother in the family that fell in love with me and expressed his feelings by drawing pictures of hearts that he gave to me.

Ah, France – Je t’aime!

When I was little I loved Pochahontas. I still have a towel from my childhood with a photo of her on it. I always used to think I looked like Pochahontas when I put a band around my forehead (secretly I still do).

Remember that military jacket I bought at Beyond Retro over the holidays? I was feeling a little bit unsure about whether or not is was a keeper. Now, at second thought, I think it was.

Elle Galan 2009

The annual Swedish fashion awards show, Elle Galan, was held last night at Grand Hotel in Stockholm. Here’s part of the Swedish fashion industry who attended.

I love Lykke Li’s style and music. She’s fantastic. Here she is with Alida Moberg.

Two of the best dressed ladies of the night. Elsa Billgren (PR for Beyond Retro) and Hanna Fridén (Journalist and blogger).

Here’s Swedish supermodel Caroline Winberg arriving on the red (white?) carpet.

I have no idea what model Ida Pyk was thinking when she put this ensemble on. What’s with the “I fucked Kleerup“?

Swedish supermodel Caroline Winberg (you’ve probably seen her in the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows) walked the runway show at the gala.

Luella Barley attended to recieve her prize.

Who did you think was best dressed?

What’s the buzz

Bye bye Peter Som: Everywhere people are buzzing about how the financial crisis has hit the fashion industry. Rumor has it that Peter Som lost his sponsors and will not be having a fashion show this coming fashion week.

Katie Holmes for Miu Miu: Lindsay Lohan seemed like a slightly odd choice for a big fashion house like Miu Miu but they seem to be continuing in similar footsteps as they chose Katie Holmes to front their upcoming campaigns. The first advertisemnets have hit the net and blogs across the world are chatting about them.

Victoria Beckham for Armani underwear: Another celebrity fronting upcoming advertisements is Mrs. Beckham. She shows off more than a little bit of skin in Armani underwears new advertisements.

Carine Roitfeld to replace Anna Wintour: The rumors have been flying left and right with this story. Is Anna Wintour being replaced? Who is taking her spot? Has she made her last bad judgement in the Vogue office? The latest is that she will be replaced by french Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld.

The City: As “The Hills” season four drew to a close a new spinoff of the hit series popped up. Whitney Port, always eager to further pursue her career as a stylist, was offered a job with Diane von Furstenberg and excitedly accepted, packed her bags and moved to New York City. “The City” is all about her life and drama in her new home town.

To know what and who matter

I don’t like recieveing forwarded messages but today I happened to open one my cousin sent me. And it’s a good thing I did, the message was exactly what I needed to hear today.

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won’t anymore…
And who always will.
So, don’t worry about people from your past,
there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.
