My inbox is being bombarded with unhealthy, sweet and devilishly tempting news right now. And who am I not to share such news?
Ben&Jerry’s have just released two new flavors, just in time for the warmer weather that’s finally arrived. Incorporating more fruit and berry flavors seems to be all the rage right now, their two new carts of sorbet ice cream focus mainly around juicy fruits and berries. The biggest difference? It’s not actually ice cream, their other products are based on milk but these two newbies are actually sorbet – in other words, good news for those who suffer from lactose intolerece!
What do you think, will they be a hit or a miss?

“Superfruits” are all the rage right now, they give you energy, antioxidants and help you stay young and healthy! Candy, on the other hand, doesn’t really fall under that same category. Nonetheless, Malaco Gott&Blandat have decided to incorporate these superfuits in their new mix Super Frutti, combining goji-, acai- and acerolaberries with raspberries, pomegranate och cranberries. Healthier than your average candy? Most likely not, but it’s a fun idea.

Waiting for Jamie Oliver to enter while reading the latest issue of Jamie magazine
I had a date with Jamie Oliver today. Okay, so technically it wasn’t a date, but I did meet him and I got to see him cook, right in front of my eyes! A press conference was held at Scandic Malmen today in Stockholm to present the new collaboration between Scandic Hotel and Jamie Oliver.
Cooking up some spaghetti and meatballs
He’s got a list of merits that would put most food enthusiasts to shame, yet Jamie never stops adding gems to that list. In collaboration with Scandic Hotel, Jamie has developed a menu specifically for the children that play their way through the many Scandic Hotels each year. And as with any project Jamie Oliver leads, it sounds pretty brilliant (and will most assuredly prove to be so too).
Tossing spaghetti and meatballs like a pro
Everything from the menu to the final meal is constructed with kids in mind. The menu is not an elegant sheet of paper filled with swirly lettering, something that undoubtedly would bore any child in a matter of seconds. Instead, kids will have a blast picking their meal by viewing a slide of photos and selecting the meal which looks most appealing to them. By letting kids assemble their own salad and shake up their own dressing in cute containers they’re encouraged to eat their greens and what children’s menu is complete without dessert? Ice Cream “Smushins” are something Jamie claims to have invented when he himself was a kid – vanilla ice cream with an impressive amount of topping alternatives (fresh fruit and berries, nuts, cookie pieces and more), the kids are given small colourful spatulas and get to “smush” the ice cream and their choice of toppings all together before scooping it into a cone.
Demonstrating the children’s menu, how cool is this?
We got to see Jamie cook up one of the main course meals (a lovely bowl of spaghetti and meatballs), he also tossed a salad and finished off by “smushing” together some ice cream and toppings. Being “big” is tough, and this just gave me one more reason to want to be a kid again, I missed out big time as a kid!
That final drizzle of olive oil, just for the photographers
Crushed tomatoes going in with the meatballs…
Grabbing a handful of spaghetti…
…and going in to the boiling water with a splash and a smile!
“Smushins” toppings

Obviously nobody has forgotten that this years guest designer for H&M is none other than the talented Mr. Matthew Williamson. The collections in the past have not really tickled my fancy and needless to say, I haven’t spent any time trying to pry the pieces out of the hands of my fellow fashionistas.
I have peeked through the Matthew Williamson collection and there are some pieces that look promising, but I don’t know if they’re worth camping outside H&M tomorrow evening to be the first to enter when the doors open. The collection will be released on Thursday the 23rd of April. Will you be fighting for the gems?
