Fashtastic

Time for bed

Had an iced coffee with my sister, mom, brother and his girlfriend this evening while fighting off little banana flies (or some kind of random mini-flies) that insisted on pestering my sister and I. Got home to enjoy some Ben&Jerry’s Half Baked (crack disguised as ice cream) while watching The 40 Year Old Virgin, sweet movie. Now it’s time for bed because tomorrow is a new day full of fun and exciting new things. Among other things on my schedule, I’m going to go get my photos taken for a cating and production company. Oh yeah.

Wednesday is looking even sweeter. My best friend is coming home (and will be home for the summer, tripple yay) and I’ve just been asked to be in another movie/documentary production on Wednesday evening! Following filming there will definitely be some partying with miss homegirl!

Goodnight peeps!

Things are busy now so here’s a quick update

Sorry I went a little MIA there for a few days. Things have been quite busy since I last updated with the fabulous news about my surf trip! Only a few days left now before I leave and I’m definitely getting nervous! Not only am I busy fixing and preparing for the trip, last Wendesday I had the time of my life on set of a famous Swedish TV show with actors Leonard Terfelt and Michael Persbrant. It was so much fun! I can’t tell you what it was about because it’s secret up until the episode airs some time in December this year. Haha!

This Wednesday I’m doing another tv show/documentary that involves some partying. It should be a blast. And tomorrow I need to go and get headshots done at a casting and production company plus I’ve got a meeting. Somewhere between all of this I need to find the time to pack, and do all the other little neccessary things before heading off for a week of surfing.

Wish me luck!

A lifelong dream is coming true!

I have mentioned it so many times my friends and family are probably sick of hearing me yak about it. Well, this it is! My trip is booked and in two weeks I will be in France living in a house with a group of surf enthusiasts enjoying sunshine, waves and surfing during the day and partying and funtimes during the night.

I have finally booked my dream vacation! I’m going to surfcamp!

Words cannot describe how excited I am right now! This is something I have wanted to do forever and I finally decided it’s time.

When did deciding become so difficult…

I was about to say it’s pooey weather here again today but that would be a lie! For once it’s actually nice weather! Still ridic chilly but hay, at least the sun is out! Just in time for the better weather I seem to be coming down with a cold though. Figures, ey? I woke up with a sore throat yesterday morning and had a headache all day, today is the same.

A smoothie or juice from The Naked Juice Bar is definitely in order, hopefully the lovely ingredients will give me a boost and kick this cold out of my body! Now the problem is choosing which one to get, they all sound so good! I love The Naked Juice Bar! If you haven’t been, go check it out!

It’s the first time H&M will be collaborating with an accessory designer and the collection will include both mens and womens fashion as well as a line of clothing. This will also be the debut for Jimmy Choo as clothing designers. The line is scheduled to hit 200 H&M stores this fall!

The Time Traveler’s Wife

The Time Traveler’s Wife with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana

I’ve heard a lot about the book The Time Traveler’s Wife, which is not surprising considering it’s a bestseller that has now been made into a movie due to hit screens August 14th this year. One of my favorite actresses, Rachel McAdams, has the lead role in this movie alonside Eric Bana so I’m definitely going to go watch it, but I think I want to read the book before I snuggle up at the movies.

Watch the trailer, it’s got this nice The Notebook-vibe about it, don’t you think?

I added some more inspirational quotes to the board on my wall today. Corny? Yeah, maybe but sometimes quotes need to be a little silly to actually inspire you.

Drowned in rain

I do not like the weather today! The rain just keeps pouring down. I hear drowning isn’t a very nice way to go but considering the weather I might find myself swimming for my life soon.

Going to the movies now (what else is there to do on a rainy day?) to see Slumog Millionaire with mom.

Tears, laughter, smiles and love!

Yesterday evening my friend got married! The wedding was absolutely beautiful, my friend looked stunning in her gown and with her hair in a fancy bun topped with a sparkling hairpiece. I couldn’t stop smiling at the couple, they were so beautiful together and looked so in love!

After the ceremony everyone walked down to a restaurant located nearby the church where the dinner was held. I thouroughly enjoyed myself all evening and had a wonderful time talking to the people around my table. My cheeks and jaws were in pain from smiling and laughing all evening.

Several people held speeches and my eyes fogged up especially much when the younger brother of the groom (seated next to me) held his very heartfelt speech.  When it was time to present the wedding cake, the toastmasters staged a “cake disaster” fooling all the guests that the cake had taken a tumble to the floor right as it was going to be carried out from the kitchen. A fantastic theatrical performance to the tunes of ABBA’s Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A man after midnight) followed, during which the toastmasters pranced around joyfully (and bravely!) in nothing but their briefs while “baking a cake”. The whole act was finished with them carrying out the gorgeous wedding cake (unharmed).

All in all it was a wonderful night and I wish my beautiful friend and her husband a long, loving and happy life together.
