I recently looked through some of the pieces from Rützou Fall ‘09 and loved it! There’s so many awesome pieces, fancy sequined clutches, cute leather jackets with ruffle details and wonderful sweaters. Unfortunately there’s not much to see on their website, but definitely check out the collection in store!

I was pleasantly surprised today as I walked by Lindex and noticed they have a ton of great stuff right now! Their accessories are especially fabulous this fall! And with their price range you can really splurge and get a lot of great pieces without breaking your bank.

I’ve been seeing a lot of Alexander Wang-inspired pieces at several of the chain stores this fall (H&M, Monki, Gina Tricot). Lots of zipper details, black and studs. The backpack above reminds me of something by Wang.

New music from Miley Cyrus – what!?

Okay, I never thought I’d be mentioning Miley Cyrus in this blog (or in any context), and especially not to praise her. But then I came across her new song When Look at You and I actually like it. Did i just say that?

Truth is, I know hardly anything about this little teeny bopper, aside from some big drama about a naked magazine cover a while back. I like the raspiness in her voice in this new song. I guess I should mention that I have never heard any of her music before.

Is it worth it to listen to any of her other songs?

If you can’t see the video click here.

Alright peeps, it’s time to get serious. Time to stop the endless loitering and lock this bad week up in the archives, never to be opened again. This week has been one of the worst in a long time, it started out good and had its highs but the end of the week has just been a mess and I’ve been feeling it in my mood and in the way I feel otherwise too. I’ve had a headache for several days and felt completely out of energy.

So goodbye bad week and cheers to a better week, a better month and a better life. Starting now!

Back to University-bag

When I was little, the best part about starting school was the shopping. I loved getting new clothes, maybe a new bag and new school supplies such as pens and notebooks.

I got that same feeling before starting University this fall, I wanted to update my wardrobe, do the whole “back to school” shopping. One thing is for sure, I need a good bag to haul my books to and from school in style. This one from Topman isn’t bad.

Behind the scenes at Chanel. This past Wednesday SVT aired the first episode of a five part documentary about Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. I was glued, of course. If you live in Sweden, don’t miss the next four episodes, it’s truly fascinating! It airs on Wednesdays at 10:30pm.

Things to avoid if you’re going through a mid life crisis

Mom called to wish me a happy birthday. Told her I’m going through a bit of a mid life crisis. Mid life crisis? She said with a laugh. At 22? Yes mom, at 22. I need more action in my life. Never satisfied, always craving more.

Just happened to go through some photos on my laptop from last summer, shouldn’t have done that. Word of advice – don’t go through photos of yourself when you were younger, freshly tanned and thinner when you’re having a low day and anxious about your age and place in life. It’s like suffocating yourself.

Good thing there’s a remedy (well, sort of, more like a kiss on the booboo). Today, mine is music:
John Mayer – Say
Roisin Murphy – Ramalama
Hot Chip – Ready for the floor
Kanye West – All Falls Down
The Ting Tings – Shut up and let me go

Give me more music suggestions! What are you listening to right now?

It’s your birthday.

It’s by birthday today, and so far I don’t know how to feel about it. Part of me is freaking out that I’m one year older and still really don’t know what direction to go in life, another part of me is a bit sad that I don’t have anything more exciting planned this day. My brother and sister celebrated me the other day and I had such a nice day. Today I’m going to meet my brother to try to get my computer fixed which is probably going to take just about all day.

I can’t decide!

Canon Powershot G10 and Panasonic Lumix 3

I’m getting a new camera but I cannot decide between the two above. I’ve heard great things about both of them. My sister just got the Panasonic LX3 so I’ve had a chance to take a closer look at it and I really like it. She says in all the reviews and tests she’s read, the LX3 always won over the G10. But Canon is a great brand and I’m used to their software since I’ve mostly used Canon digital cameras in the past.

Which one should I get?

Today is not my day.

Let tomorrow be a good day. I had such a wonderful day yesterday (I even caught myself smiling for no apparent reason), it’s as if today had to be crap just to even things out. It’s been pouring rain most of the day and I’ve felt about as poo as the weather.

I’m trying to focus on the fun things that are happening during the next couple of days. Like that my surfing roommate, Anna, is coming to Stockholm this weekend so hopefully I’ll get a chance to see her. And that I’m seeing my brother tomorrow so that he can hopefully get my computer in order (yup, Photoshop still doesn’t work, neither does Adobe reader). And next week is full of fun events: On Monday I’ve got my second class in ethnology, on Wednesday Gina Tricot are having a fun cocktail event to present their winter collection and on Friday UGG Australia have an event to celebrate their first shop-in-shop in Stockholm and that same day The September Issue finally hits cinemas here!

Oh, and tomorrow is my birthday. But I’m not really looking forward to that, I think that’s one of the things that has left me feeling rather anxious today.
