DIY braided chain necklace (doubles as a chunky bracelet)
Another one of my DIY projects. I used a gold chain and bold colored embroidery thread to make a braided necklace, similar to the bracelet I made recently. Once finished, I realized it doubles as a very chunky bracelet. It works as a nice statement accessory for a simple outfit.
How did you braid the thread onto the chain? I’ve been wanting to try this.
I tied all the threads together at the top and then divided them into two bunches. Loop each bunch through the chain link, working your way through the chain just like a regular braid. Imagine the chain link as one of the three threads in a braid. Hope that makes sense.
