A 12 hour party to ring in the new year!
Happy 2013!
I ended 2012 with a 12 hour party! My friend Jenny and her boyfriend Jonas had invited me over for a lovely New Years lunch (aka pre-pre-party). We popped open a bottle of bubbly and Jonas (who has worked as a chef) whipped up a five star meal for us.
Then it was time to head to the pre-party at a couple of friends of Jenny and Jonas’. The drinks and conversation was flowing, people were dropping in at random and before we knew it, it was time to head to our next and final destination.
We’d been invited to a rather exclusive dinner on the top floor of Sjöpaviljongen, overlooking the water. We arrived and were served a glass of bubbly before being seated for dinner. The dinner was above and beyond my expectations. A sea food buffet that can hardly be described with words, totally over the top and crazy delicious! We dined, mingled, and danced the hours away leading up to midnight. As the clock struck twelve we all grabbed our champagne glasses headed outside onto the veranda. The rain was trickling down over us as we cheered in the new year while breathing in the panoramic view of the fireworks dancing over the water.
The night continued with more dancing and mingling before we tip-toed our way home in our heels. A great start to the year two-thousand-thirteen. I expect great things from here on out.
