I’ve had a very good weekend. Have you?

Brace yourselves, this is a bunch of random

Oh hi.
Haven’t blogged in a while. So this is a compilation of a bunch of good things. Like music, movies, quotes, and photos.

Here’s a sick cover:

Spring is (sort of) here. Logically, that means summer is just around the corner. Which makes being spontaneous and a little crazy so much easier. Like skinny dipping at 11.23pm.

Photos I love

Some random photos from the past year. You’ve probably seen most of them, but they’re worth showing again because they portray some of the people and things I love the most.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Men’s Style

Yesterday, I saw a guy on the subway who was wearing such an awesome outfit. Trying to describe it wouldn’t do it justice, but it was edgy, different, accessorized, and topped off with sunglasses (yes, he was wearing them in the subway, which is a little cheesy, but the shades really complimented his outfit so I’ll let it slide). He stuck out and I couldn’t help but try to discreetly identify the different components of his outfit as I stood across from him.

A couple of months ago, I was randomly invited to pin to a board titled Men’s Style on Pinterest. Pinterest has been a favorite procrastination of mine for years now, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s addicted. Above are a couple of my favorite Men’s Style-looks. Some casual, and some more dressy.

Rustic table, rustic dinnerware

Rustic dinnerware

Speaking of rustic tables

One of my absolute favorite stores is Athropologie. They don’t have retailers in Sweden, which means I spend hours in the store when I’m in the US. They’ve got the most beautiful things!

Among other gorgeous stuff (like bags and notebooks), they’ve got amazing home decor – including lots of owl themed things! Above is some sort of dreamy compilation of what I’d one day like to place on my rustic wooden table. Links to all the items below:

Wine glasses, mint plates, multicolored cups/mugs, turquoise & grey painted bowl, pale turquoise mug, pale turquoise bowl, coral cup & saucer, salt dish with spoon, patterned cookie jar, candle, Voluspa candle.

That rustic table

I love the look of a rustic table combined with modern or new items. Someday I’d like to make my own table like this. I think I’d paint it turquoise and distress it so the darker wood peeks through the paint. It might sound like madness but I’ve seen some good examples of it (can’t find a good photo to illustrate it now though, but I’ve got the image in my mind), turquoise and dark brown go so nicely together. A heavy and rustic table really gives a room a nice earthy feel.

DIY: Skull bracelet

Here’s another little DIY bracelet I made recently. You may have seen similar bracelets… everywhere. Accessories with these skull beads are quite popular right now, and I’m seeing them all over the place.

A lot of the time when I see something I like (like a piece of jewelry for instance), I think “I could make that”. Making it myself is swag because 1. I can form it however I want. 2. It’s cheaper 3. I can impress people by telling them I made it.

I found these skull beads at a craft shop and made a macrame knot bracelet using some thin black rope I had on hand. I have some ideas for how I’m going to use the rest of the beads.

DIY Armswag

You know what being done with my first year at Uni means? I have time to do fun stuff like this!

I’ve been cooking up a crafty little storm lately. Being the passionate little craftswoman that I am I see potential in the oddest of things. I’ve had these gold chains saved for… years? They’re from an old bag and an old dress. I’ve had this project in the back of my mind forever but with Uni taking up all of my time there just hasn’t been a moment to spare for my crafty affairs.

After going a bit nuts in the embroidery thread department, carefully selecting a color combination, I whipped up this fabulously chunky color pop of a bracelet. Keep your eyes peeled, I’ve got a bunch more DIY projects in the works.

Tempted? You want one?
