Victoria’s Secret-party

Victoria’s Secret curls?
The Victoria’s Secret-party yesterday was fun! We were a group of about 15 girls and it being Halloween and all, I attempted big luscious curls, Victoria’s Secret style. They stayed in place for about half an hour, by the time I got to the party my hair was flat again (note to self: get a better hair spray).
I didn’t know anyone at the party aside from the host, but all the girls were really sweet and it was fun to mingle with them all. During the night there were Victoria’s Secret body lotions and mists from the Garden Collection for sale but I already have all the scents that were on offer last night, so I didn’t end up buying any.
What did you do for Halloween?
Hard work, and then some play

The weeks just fly by. I guess that’s what happens when you’re 120 percent busy 100 percent of the time.
I’m in school all day every weekday, working hard on my assignments and papers, focusing in lectures and workshops. And then I spend my weekends doing more schoolwork. I spent most of the day yesterday sitting at a remote location (prevents distraction) focusing on schoolwork before I rushed home to get dolled up before Bella came over for drinks!
After chilling for a bit at my place we headed to Ljunggrens 4 year anniversary party. It was okay, nothing super spectacular really. We were both cringing at a girl who performed wearing an oversize t-shirt, which just barely stretched to below her butt. As she danced around her t-shirt swayed and revealed… it all.
Anyway, time to hit the books again!
How has your weekend been?
Girl’s night out

Photo taken by B at Urban Deli last night
S, B and I had a girl’s night at Urban Deli last night. We ordered in a bottle of white wine, a tray of cheese and deli meats and a bowl of shrimp. It was all absolutely wonderfully tasty. I love my girls and we had such a nice evening. It’s nice to do fun things like this in the middle of the week, I definitely need to do this more often – go out and do something on work-nights to add some fun to my otherwise routinely boring weekdays.
I’ve been sick the past couple of days but haven’t been home from work and taken it easy (no wonder I haven’t got better quicker). It was looking rather gloomy yesterday morning when I really felt like s*it and I was afraid I was going to have to cancel my girl’s night. Finally I decided I wasn’t going to let life be so unfair so I got dressed up, did my makeup and fixed my hair in an attemp to ignore how sick and tired I felt. Guess what? It worked! Being with the girls gave me so much happy energy and today I feel a little bit better than I have the past couple of days.
One thing we talked about last night was how wonderful fate is. That tiny little decisions we make in life push us in different directions which then lead us to where we are today. Like the story of how B, S and I met. Had the slightest little thing been different, we may never have met at all.
Today is the last day of work for this week, tomorrow is a holiday in Sweden because it’s midsummer’s eve. Next week is my very last week of work (my full-time job that is) before I go on vacation and then (fingers crossed) start school in the fall.
Now, if it would only stop raining here in Sweden I think the summer could be pretty good.
Life is beautiful today

My outfit and makeup last night
My weekend has been so spur of the moment, but absolutely fantastic!
I couldn’t believe how quickly time was passing yesterday, I felt like I couldn’t keep up! My baking at the hospital just flew by, I ran some errands and before I knew it, it was 7pm! I felt rather nauseous all day yesterday (I don’t know if it was my Friday adventures that were haunting me) but despite that, I couldn’t pass up an invite to go out again last night.
I got home sometime after two in the morning, slept about four hours and then had to get up because I had the laundry room booked. Now I’ve got my laundry out of the way, gone for a long walk in the beautiful sunshine and had some lunch. Hands up everyone who bets I’m tired right now? Excuse me while I dig my head into my pillow for a quick powernap before I tackle the rest of my Sunday (and it’s a goooood Sunday!)
What have you been up to this weekend?
Hello night

Looks like I’m meeting the night again. Who knows what could happen….
P.S Everyone’s talking about it, so I have to mention it too. Adele – Someone like you. How wonderful is this song!? And so touching/sad.
Laugh until you just can’t breathe

An oooold photo of Malin and I!
I had a long day at work yesterday, but it was a good day. I got home and Malin called to ask if I wanted to have a drink with her at Ljunggrens. I jumped on that idea right away, it was gorgeous weather yesterday and the perfect opportunity to go out, have a couple of drinks and chit-chat.
We didn’t end up staying out that late since we started at 7pm. I also suddenly realized that yesterday was the final day to apply to university and I panicked a little and wanted to get home before midnight to give my application one last check before it was too late (deadline was midnight).
I had a fantastic time, I laughed so much, and as usual we rounded up the evening with some crazyness. Now I’m off to the gym before it’s time to go and bake at the hospital!
Slicked back hair

I promised you some posts today, and it’s taken me until now (10.32pm) to find the time to sit down at the computer to take care of some business. Today has been every bit as busy as the days last week were. I’ve been running around so much that my mind is on overdrive trying to remember all the things I have to do and catch up on (all the “To do”-lists in the world won’t save me now!)
Anyway, here’s what I looked like on Saturday when I went out with some girlfriends of mine. I almost always have my hair loose when I’m out partying, but this time I slicked it back, gave the bangs a little volume, and just about emptied a bottle of hairspray on it before heading out the door.
BIRTHDAY!

My adorable friend Sigrid and I - love you!
After a week of highs and lows, topped off with a birthday-Friday that could have gone better I at least got to end it on a high note! Last night I went out with a big group of friends and had a great time – I even danced on the bar at the end of the night! Thank you to everyone who joined me for a drink on my birthday: Sigrid, Malin, Isabelle, Robin, Märta-Linn, Beata, Carl, Eric, Lisa, Veronika, Leo, Sari, Disa – and Sofie and Tove who were in on celebrating me during the day. Not to mention all the text messages, phone calls and Facebook messages from everyone.
I love every single one of you and wouldn’t trade you for the world, the moon or the stars.
(I’ll post more pictures from the night when I get them from my friends who were snapping photos during the night!)
