Gisele Bundchen covers Emmanuelle Alt’s debut Vogue issue

It was announced a while ago that Carine Roitfeld would be leaving French Vogue, and so far everyone’s lips are tightly sealed on the subject of who will cover her final issue.

However, information on who will cover Emmanuelle Alt’s (Roitfeld’s replacement) debut issue isn’t under as strict lockdown. It was just announced that Gisele Bundchen will grace Alt’s debut April issue of French Vogue. Gisele was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matatin in St. Barts, and judging by the location, we’re bound to see another bikini cover.

I think I would go for someone more unexpected than Gisele if I wanted to give a good first impression as new editor-in-chief at one of fashion’s biggest magazines. But that’s just me.

Who woukd you choose if it were your last shoot?

I’d say it would depend on what month it is and who is most popular/current in fashion and/or entertainment at the time. But I would definitely try to choose someone edgy who is unexpected and who hasn’t done many or any covers yet. One person that comes to mind right away is Noomi Rapace, a very successful Swedish actress who was in the Stieg Larsson Millenium-trilogy movies (based on the books by Larsson), I’d like to do a shoot with her as the character Lisbeth Salander. (Have you heard of the books and movies? They’re making the Hollywood/American version of the first movie now with Daniel Craig in the lead role).

oooh she’s gorgeous! wow just reading that response makes me realise how in tune you are about what is happening with movies, books, current things in fashion/entertainment, I wouldn’t have a clue!

keep it up, love your knowledge!
