Chloé F/W 2011

Chloé have the 70’s inspired style as somewhat of a trademark and Hannah MacGibbon’s Chloé F/W 2011 collection followed suit. The flared jeans, the button down shirts and high waists of the 70’s were all featured in the collection. As with any collection, there was a personal little twist, and this time it came in the shape of snakeskin – the reptile pattern was featured throughout the collection in pants, blouses and even on the shoes.

What has struck me while looking at a lot of the Spring and Fall collections of 2011, is that there’s a lot of bohemian and indian inspirations. Even in this Chloé collection I see some tendencies towards that indian look, like the quilted cape and the pronounced red, yellow and brown colors – those are my favorite pieces of the collection. The snakeskin pieces however are not for me, I’m not at all a fan of snakeskin. Ick.
