I had planned on making a layered cream, jam and fruit cake at the hospital today but when I got there, they were out of cream. So I improvised and made a buttercream frosting instead.
I also made a chocolate and buttercream roll and oatmeal-raisin-coconut-cinnamon cookies (also improvised).
The cake was, as you can see, dug into right away.
What do you think I should bake next week?
