These days, news travels around the world within seconds.
I was visiting my aunt and uncle in Canada yesterday, where they’re renting a cottage. We spent the day on the beach and while waiting for dinner, I was enjoying a mojito out on the front porch while chatting with my uncle and grandfather. That’s when my uncle said he’d heard there was some big attack in Norway, but he wasn’t sure of the details. I instantly got a knot in my stomach, not knowing exactly what happened is the worst part. The first chance I got I read the devastating news, it’s been on the news and in the newspapers here and I’m so saddened to hear what happened.
My thoughts go out to my neighbors in Norway, my Norwegian friends, and to the families of the 92 people who lost their lives in this horrible and selfish attack. May they rest in peace.
