The weekend the 26-27th of November is Konstfacks julmarknad (Christmas market) at Telefonplan in Stockholm. I’ve been to it once or twice before and it’s a bit of a “hit or miss”. Sometimes there’s awesome stuff and other times it feels like a bunch of junk (to be brutally honest). So far I have yet to get that real “Christmas spirit”-feeling from going to their market, it’s not very Christmas-y.
If you, like me, are looking to get into the Christmas spirit and go to one of those really cozy Christmas markets with pine needles, candles, old ladies dressed in thick red sweaters and a scent of hot wine (glögg) and sugar then you should go to one of these:
I can also recommend the Christmas markets on every small and big square in Prague. That city is completely decked out for Christmas, rather stunning if you ask me.
Do know of good Christmas markets in Stockholm (or other places in the world)?
Edited to add: This Sunday, the 20th of November, NK are unveiling their Christmas window decorations! There’s usually a massive crowd that gathers to see the unveiling.
