Another pair of skyscrapers

High heeled shoes

I seem to be on a bit of a shoe high right now. I got these heels a couple of weekends ago. Freakin’ love ’em. I wore them out after Thanksgiving dinner and some random girl stopped me in the subway and drooled over them. Ah, my babies pull all the attention.

Wore my spike Lita monsters out last weekend and they received the looks and stares they deserve as well, felt pretty cray in them but that’s what makes them so much fun. Also, totally inspired Lydia to buy a pair of Litas too! She got the classic black Litas with the wooden heel. We’re so doing a night out in our Lita’s!

The perfect little black dress

Black cutout dress

I ordered this dress sometime in the beginning of the summer, and I finally got the chance to wear it when I went out for dinner with my mom and sister recently. And then Lydia and I both agreed that it would be the perfect dress for our little photo shoot in greyscale last weekend. I intend to give it another spin tomorrow evening when I go out to dinner with my friend Jenny, it’s proving to be that perfect “little black dress”.

P.S I’ve seen a sneak peek of the photo shoot Lydia and I did. I died. Yes, yes, promise to show you as soon as I can. The photos aren’t scanned yet. Must. have. patience.

Twirling around in heels again

Trying on Givenchy heels

This past week, I only had Friday scheduled for work. After whining to myself about it and thinking I should have just taken the entire week off, I had a bit of an epiphany on Friday morning – working on a Friday allows me to appreciate the weekend that much more. Always look on the bright side of life, right?

I was busy all day at work, which included trying on some of the new arrivals. The girls and I were pretty excited about the new styles from Givenchy. I tried on these t-bar sandals, it’s hard to tell in the photo but they’ve got a thin gold pin down the front. Very sexy or what!? Impossibly high though, but they’d do for a dinner date.

Trying on shoes I can’t afford

Stella McCartney Valencia ankle boots

Giuseppe Zanotti suede platform pumps

I need to stop trying on shoes at work, because I keep falling in love with them. Last week I slipped into a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti suede platform pumps that made me look at my legs in a way I never have before – with admiration. Yesterday I tried on a pair of the Valencia ankle boots by Stella McCartney, and was surprised at how much I liked them. They looked so different on, as opposed to how they looked in the box.

Friday heels

Here’s what I wore to work on Friday. Please excuse my bleak expression in the photo above, I wasn’t at all as grumpy as I look (quite the contrary actually). These red, grey, and brown heels are hot, but they’re not very kind on my feet… Oh, the things we do for fashion.

WIWOT: Naughty/Nice

Here’s WIWOT (What I Wore On Thursday). A pretty dress with black ballerinas. I let the accessories contrast the sweetness of the rest of the outfit. I love this dress, mostly because it reminds me of one of my summers in the US. I found it in a cute little boutique in the small town outside Boston where my aunt lives.

Gold spike bracelet

Along with my new sunglasses, I ordered this spikey gold bracelet. It fits nicely into my little family of armswag and I like that it’s got attitude. Perhaps it’ll make people think I’m tough?
